Data as a critical opportunity and critical asset. Zach Whitman, Chief Data Scientist & Chief AI Officer at GSA, encouraged a reimagination of data as a product in terms of future investment and value. Echoing this, Lakshmi Raman, Director of AI at the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), described how the agency’s investment in data infrastructure, architecture and governance over the past decade has enabled them to drive value by “evaluating generative AI capabilities quickly”.

New horizons for data security

Keynote speaker General Chance Saltzman, Chief of Space Operations for the United States Space Force, shared critical insights on the evolving landscape of space security.

"It used to be that all we had to do was maintain access to space and then exploit it for its advantages," said Saltzman. "Today to control the domain and protect it, we have to deny an adversary. This control aspect is what has shifted."

Saltzman said space is now contested and has evolved into a domain requiring advanced strategies and technologies to safeguard operations. Navigating the future of space operations requires agility, innovation and collaboration. The shift calls for increased collaboration between public agencies and private sector innovators to develop solutions which can meet these new challenges and demands at scale. 

Inside the Carahsoft Pavillion

Qanapi was proud to exhibit alongside industry partners and leading providers Carahsoft. The Pavilion was a hub of activity, buzzing with excitement and conversations as industry experts, leaders and innovators spoke about solutions that brought the impossible into possibility and action. The Google Public Sector Summit is the first official public exhibition of Qanapi, the next generation company spinoff from trusted providers Cocoon Data.
