Key Management Service Setup Guide
Enable Qanapi's Key Management Service for Google Workspace (CSE) through Google Cloud Marketplace.
Subscribe in Google Cloud Marketplace

Public sector organizations purchase their desired number of Key Management Service licenses from Qanapi’s Google Cloud Marketplace listing.
●
Check your inbox for a confirmation email from Qanapi—it includes your organization's license key. Once you find it, copy the key to your clipboard.
Create your Qanapi account

Click Start for Free in the top-right corner of this page.
●
Fill in your organization’s information to create your Qanapi account.
Set up your Qanapi KMS project
●
Click + New Project in the Qanapi dashboard, then customize it to fit your organization’s encryption needs.

On the Integrations tab in your project, paste your license key from the confirmation email, and click Enable.
●
Copy the Base URL from the Integrations tab, then click Open Admin console to navigate to your Google Workspace Admin Console.
Enable Client-Side Encryption in Google Workspace

Navigate to Data > Compliance > Client-Side Encryption in your Google Admin console, then click Add under Encryption with external key service.

Paste the Qanapi Base URL on the Add external key service page, enter a name, and add a backup key service if needed.

Click Test Connection to verify the setup. Once successful, a green banner will confirm the Qanapi Key Management Server and project name.
Start using Client-Side Encryption for Google Workspace Products

Hover over the Google Workspace product you want to encrypt, then click
+ New.
●
Select the Encrypted option for the Google Workspace product you're using, such as Encrypted Document for Google Docs. This will enable client-side encryption protection for the new document.
